Checked out the progress of Kyle Pollard’s Pro FD car! 7/365

So first off.. Kyle’s car is rad. Not like your friend just got a new motorcycle rad, but your friend has a fully built FD car in his garage rad.

I took a little break and drove over to Kyle’s house. He lives with an old friend Darren, who was one of the first people to get me into cars. They have a nice shop and work area, perfect for this type of build. One very cool thing I would like to point out is that Kyle is building the car almost entirely by himself. He has help from friends, but other than paint and tune.. it’s Kyle working till 2-3 am every night after his 40 hour/week job as a fabricator at DOC RACE. So I respect that hugely..

Kyle has some awesome sponsors that are helping the build come along.. I’m not going to give too much away, or pretend to remember all the stuff he said, but this shit is built! It’s more like a road race car, Suit/helmet cooler, fuel system tricks, custom fabrication through out the cage.. very cool stuff all over. Not to mention the there are IKEYA parts laying around all over the place, and oil coolers left and right, with AN fittings and Volks galore!

The wide body on this car completely transforms it, looks more like an Aston Martin all stripped down in person. The entire suspension has been fully redone, the whole chassis has been stitch welded, the cage spans from front to back, it’s really very fun to sit and chill while he works on it. Eye candy, not to mention the bright red paint and smooth grey interior looks classic.

I can’t wait to shoot more of this car once it gets to PSI(Portland Speed Industries) next week, and hopefully get a ride around the block! We are also planning on doing a shoot once the car gets to Seattle for the next FD stop, and again once the graphics are finished by Vegas FD.

Really pumped Kyle is making his goals, in life and for this build.
